It all started with a message from Trever in October of 2017. He asked Alaska if she wanted to meet up because we now lived in the same city after having been distant friends for years. The next day we were at The Hornet catching up and talking for hours, so it didn't take long before we knew we would eventually be more than friends.
We quickly bonded on our shared love of music and have enjoyed attending hundreds of concerts and shows together over the years. We also have had so much fun recording and making music together, something we've both been doing independently as long as we can remember, so it was very special to discover that we shared that hobby.
On our first anniversary date Trever asked, "Do you think we will get married?" and Alaska replied, "Yes, but we need to date for at least 5 years first". Six and a half years later, Trever braved a rickety ladder and very high heights to the top of a fire lookout in an Indiana forest to propose to Alaska on the eve of the total solar eclipse in 2024.
We traveled to Mexico together in 2018 and had an amazing experience, and have been wanting to revisit for some time, so we figured we would invite everyone we love to come party with us this time around.
